Melissa brings nearly two decades of experience spanning grant-funded capital projects, project cost accounting, and professional services financial accounting.
Melissa has managed approximately $111M in combined NYC EDC and DDC funding, serving as the primary authority for post-award compliance, agency coordination, payment requisitions, reporting, and grant closeout.
Earlier in her career at Jonathan Rose Companies, Melissa supported $650M+ in capital projects and managed the disbursement of $85M+ in public cultural grants across cultural, educational, and mixed-income residential developments. She brings acute project cost accounting experience on both the construction and vendor sides, with a strong command of cost controls, reimbursement mechanics, audits, and compliance.
At YPI Collective, Melissa applies this expertise to support disciplined capital oversight and grant-funded execution, bringing clarity and financial fluency to complex engagements. She also leads the team on quality control in budget management and reporting.
Education / Experience:
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in Statistics from Michigan Technology University. In her free time Melissa volunteers at an animal shelter and enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog.
